Born Feb 28th, 9:47pm (41 weeks)
8lbs 12 oz. Perfect and Beautiful and a bit sumo wrestlerish looking!
Name still to come!

Had bright red blood (dislodging mucous plug) saturday night (2/27). Thought birth was imminent and started packing car. But contractions did not get harder or longer so we sat down to a game of monopoly. Nothing happened and went to bed around midnight.
Had a decent sleep.
Woke the next morning and contractions were similar. As the day went on, contractions got stronger, brownish mucus plug fell out. I was a bit restless and wanted to go do something but also felt that staying home was better.
Contraction pain was in lower front or lower back, depending what position I was in. And there was lots of pressure down below.
Watched the USA vs Canadian hockey game. Yay Canada! Still wasnt sure if these contractions were strong enough to be calling doc.
Around seven I called and then was put on call back. Didnt expect this delay; sat there and timed a bunch of 4 minute contractions and was starting to wonder if I was a bit late.
Doc called and away we go to hospital. Got there around 7:30pm
Was checked and was dilated to 8cm!
The nurses were surprised as they were pretty sure they were going to be sending me home! I was relieved that I had been progressing as I really didnt want to spend another day with these kind of contractions - sort of painful, but not really sure if they were doing anything.
Nurses wheeled in the stuff needed for delivery. DOc broke my water and then went into hallway to wait
The last contractions were super intense, really long and excruciating. Thankful for my yoga breathing lessons.
Time to push.
I was really weak or lame at that! The first several attempts were rough as I was opposed to pushing and inflicting pain on myself! Got a cervical block and after several more pushes w/ a LOT more effort Baby came out and was put in my hands and onto my chest.

Sweet baby girl of mine.

My doctor and the labour nurses were awesome and supportive.
I a 2nd degree tear...along the tear I had for the first pregnancy (I was pretty tense during the pushing stage...not able to relax my leg muscles and such)
Went to recovery room at midnight and was back home on Tuesday morning.
There was some slight jaundice concerns and we were sent back to hospital last night so baby can lay under the lights
Nursing going well enough. Milk coming in and the nipple blisters starting. ouch.
I felt surprising well after delivery and feel so much more energetic now. I think the last month of pregnancy really did me in!

Big brother is IN LOVE with little sister, concerned about her well being, plays peekaboo with her and wants to sleep next to her.
