Where is that letter?

Isn't there a letter somewhere that we, as non- or delayed-vaxing parents use as a template for the one we write to the schools? I coulda sworn...but can't find it.

Each state has a different requirement. Here you dont need a letter just the paper from the Health Dept. There is no exemption to cover selective vax that I am aware of only if you choose to not vax at all.

Oooo...interesting. I do plan to selectively-vax. She'll be getting a shot or two in a few months when she turns 3, and those will be her first. In the meantime, i'm trying to get her enrolled in preschool, and am just filling out the immunization exemption letter i found. Should i not be doing that since she will be getting SOME vax before she starts school?

I'd assumed if asked, i could just say i'm against SOME of them. I'm using the religious exemption--"ethical conviction similar to a religious belief".

It does say "I...object to the immunization requirements..." To me, that opens it all up for selective--i just object to everything required. Ya know? Oh, wow, anybody been through this? I don't want to mess up.

PA law seems to allow selective religious...

Yep it appears that PA has a philosophical exemption after reading that link.
Quote:
(b) Religious exemption. Children need not be immunized if the parent, guardian or emancipated child objects in writing to the immunization on religious grounds or on the basis of a strong moral or ethical conviction similar to a religious belief.
But I am not an expert. Hopefully someone will come along who knows more about it.

I do know that here in TN you can not vax any more after you claim religious if you do and are found out your exemption is void and you cannot claim just certain vax you have to be against them all across the board. We only have religious and medical.

I just saw this http://www.unhinderedliving.com/Vaccine.jpg and it dosnt have philosophical on it just religious but the wording of the law in the other link sure leaves room for interpretation.

From what I've heard in here when I was trying to figure this out a while ago is that PA is pretty strict on the religious exemption. All or nothing. Obviously, I think this is ridiculous. Why can't a person have a religious issue with vaccines made with fetal stem cells but not others made without. Silly really. I hope this isn't true. This is just what I found before.
