frost bites on the face?

hi,
we walked in a kind of cold weather and wind for a short period of time,

my kiddo had runny nos and she rubbed hand on it smugging the wattery thingy on her face, I cleaned it and dried
and then at home I noticed the redness and few pimples on the face,

I was hoping it will go away..

two and a half weeks later the little pimples got smaller but are still there
normal pimples would go away long ago right?

and in the morning when she wakes up the chicks are kind of greyish redish but it is not major thing.. just a little bit and tinny
spider vains visible on them.. the redness and vains dissapear within minutes of wake up and walking and doing things but the pimples are there..

I am now really wondering if that could have been frost bites and if so what did I do wrong?

and more importantly if it is so how to tell if they are bites,
what to do about them
and is there any way to cure it?

my second thought is that my kid ever since has a kinda runny nose and rubs chicks with the sleeve or hand .. the nose dicharge tet smudged on the c hicks.. whenever can get away with it instead of using tissue

so this is what thrown me off the frost bites and I was thinking that mayb tis is the reaction of skin to the nasal disscharge?

i am washing it off but till the nose will be dry again and process starts healing I won't know

but till then does anyone has any first hand experience with minimal facial frost bites and if so how did it looke like. what did you do what was prognosis and what can and should one expect and do?

thanks a bunch

pimples sounds like eczema possibly (and wetness or winter dryness or a simple irritation can cause eczema). If she itches it at night it will be more red when she wakes. Grey isn't what I've ever seen though w/eczema. If her nose is continually runny it will continually irritate the area. You can ask a doctor's opinion--I'm sure if they see it they will know whether it is serious or not.

It got better. I think that it was false alarm after all..

It really grabbed my attention because it was sort of worse on the wake up and only on one chick..

and during the day it got worse at times also on one chick..

and the thing is that the runny nose in case of my DD is always an acompanying sign of growths spurt along with some saliva over production and other symtoms that pretty much are much milder but continue from babyhood..

and the redness on this particular chick turned to be caused by her silly habit of wiping her nose with the sleeve and so she brushes the nose over to the chick and so it was getting worse at times and at night when she was doiing it just subconsiusly.

I am trying to control her nose hygiene and it helps instantly..

it almost all cleared but I know that till she will be in the growth phase this will be an issue.. I remember her always having red chicks when she was teething as a toddler... gone like magic when the phase was over.. and then again..

as to doctor's visit, I was about to go but I always do like to do my own detective work as I believe that doctor although might guess what it is he does not have this kind of time and luxery of observing a child and can never be sure to the actual cause not seeing a child all the time and I am rearly interested in end results as in covering up the symptoms only to see them resurface.. I always go for the cause and once detected it is priceless piece of information.

I will never forget my poor friend's son who had endless ear infections and doctor's visits and antibots and alikes... till one day her mother came over and said "but child, you can't have kid's crib so close to the vent.. it is blowing on him at night! and he might get ear infection!".. so they moved the crib so few years passed and no ear infections!
and no doctor ever really asked her or suggested her the crib positioning ..
so there it is.. investigating is always good thing of course bringing the info to the doctor pricless.

It never did look suuper scary or anything like that, I was suspecting some allergy or nasal discharge from the beginning.
