Would anything be a good replacement for sherry vinegar?

I have some meat defrosted for stewing, the recipe I was going to try calls for sherry vinegar, would anything else work?

I have

Apple Cider Vinegar
Red Wine Vinegar
White Vinegar
Rice Vinegar
Balsamic Vinegar
some Merlot

I'd probably do the red wine with a splash of RWVinegar. the RWV might be very strong. Do you have any white wine? i think I've read that dry white wine will work in place of sherry.

I just have a cheap little bottle of chardonnay I am not sure it would be good for stewing.
