Temping to 1/10 vs 1/00- need a new therm asap

My thermometer died this morning. Tried replacing the batteries, but all I have is some weird symbols on the screen. It was the crappy pink Walgreens one anyway, so I don't mind replacing it, but I'm on CD6 so need to be able to replace it locally today.

I want a digi bc I temp vaginally and kind of need the beep to wake me back up. (Plus, I'm thinking co-sleeping and glass thermometers might not mix )

I don't want the Walgreens one again. As far as I can tell, I have the choice of the Target brand bbt that temps to 1/00 or the BD bbt that temps to 1/10.

I've heard good things about the BD one, but I know I've also seen posts on here about how it is important to temp to the 1/100.

So, my question is- how important is temping to the 1/100th?
Anyone have experience with the BD (I think it is purple?) or the Target brand?

TIA

its not so much that it temps to the 100th but that it is ACCURATE to the 100th... a BBT will usually be accurate to .02 while a regular fever thermometer will only be accurate to .2 (because in a fever .2 doesnt make a big difference, but in BBT charting .2 can mean O or not.)

The BD I've had for many years is still more accurate than the BBT thermometers I've had. I would go with the BD brand.

Thanks, ladies.

So, we ended up with a random major storm today, so I didn't make it out to the pharmacy that had the BD. I bought the only one I could get to that wasn't the Walgreens pinkie- Mabis, I think. It is a cheapie basal that reads out two decimals and says accurate to 1/100. Haven't played with it yet.

Hoping it'll do the job for this cycle and have ordered the BD for next cycle. :fx (not-so-secretly-hoping that there's not a next cycle...)

Yeah I had both and I think a good sturdy 1/10 one is totally fine, been using my BD RapidFlex for 2.5 years now with no trouble. I like that it is quite sealed, stays cleen even with vaginal temping, very easy to wipe off.
