How do I start building a 'supply' to go back to work?

Hi ladies. My little one is 2 weeks old today. I need to return to work when she is 8 weeks old, so I have 6 weeks to build a small 'stash'. I already have a supply issue and have been trying to pump after each feeding to build my supply. I have a hospital grade pump, but am only able to get 10-15ccs after each feeding, and I have generally been giving that to her to get her weight up. (She was 5 weeks early and very sleepy). So, I have NO idea how I am going to continue exclusively breastfeeding her when I go back to work. I've never been a good pumper (even with my first). Any thoughts on how to build a supply for those of us who are pumping-challenged and don't make tons of milk?

Have you tried fenugreek and blessed thistle to help boost your supply? Oatmeal is also supposed to be good for supply as well. If your LO is 2 weeks old, your supply is still being established right now.

I would say keep up the good work on pumping after each feeding. That should help, but usually takes a while before you may see an increase in output. The other thing is to try doing breast compressions while pumping to help the milk come out. I work full time so I pump three times a day, and I've noticed that I have to do compressions, otherwise the pump alone doesn't get everything out. I have to help it along a little

Good luck!
