Another Pottying Question - Buy a Book?

DS has been showing interest in the concept of using a potty/toilet, but is only 19 months...so I'm feeling like it's probably a bit early. That said, we did just get him a BabyBjorn potty and I ordered a potty book for him.

My question is: Since this is our first child we have no experience with potty learning. Should we get a book about it for ourselves? There's some info in the Sears Baby Book, but I see there's a bunch of books for parents about teaching children to use the potty. Do these books offer valuable information? Is "just winging it" not a good idea?

I found "Diaper Free Before Three" great, especially for help with potty learning earlier than you may have expected or earlier than you think the norm is. It is very quick and easy to read and worthwhile in my opinion. It's really popular so you should be able to get it at the library. It's also just a little paperback so doesn't cost much.

I found Diaper Free Before THree helpful. Picked it up our local breastfeeding store. My toddler boy trained really quickly.
