amber teething necklaces, more the merrier? (x-post Health and Healing)

DD, 7 months, has been teething up a storm lately. I purchased an amber teething necklace. When it first came in the mail, I thought that I had lost my mind believing in a magic necklace. Now, I think that it may be helping a bit. So, DH thinks I'm crazy, but I want to get another one to "double" the dose, even though I'm not sure that it's working at all. Thoughts?

How do these work? Does baby chew them or does it help by the Amber touching the baby's skin?

Just by touching the skin. (Supposedly.) Again, I'm skeptical. It's hard to tell if the one I have is working.

I got 2 only because it took so long for the furst one to arrive that I lost patince and ordered one from a different place. They both arrived on the same day so I put one around his neck and the other on his ankle. I think it works, he stopped freaking out all the time and was able to chew on things for relief for the first time. I could also be nuts and he is just getting older and more used to the pain. But hey it made me feel better and like I was able to help so it was worth it.

Ordered one a couple days ago and hoping it gets here soon DD is teething and is in a real fowl mood and with my luck by the time it gets here the tooth will be out and she will be fine, but hey there are always more teeth behind this one!
