lipoma (noncancerous) fatty tumors on dog- treatment options?

Our 7 year old weimaraner has 3 golf ball sized and a couple smaller sized non cancerous tumors on her flank. they are all on the left hemisphere of her body oldly enough so looking at her other side, she looks pretty and sleek.

They do not hurt her, the vet is not concerned, but they look awful! and I'm sure they are a sign of some internal systems issues with her.

Any ideas on how to non invasively treat these types of lipoma on dogs?

thanks

Really, if you want them gone....excision is what is available. lipomas are very, very common in dogs and unless they grow quite large and impede movement they are fine and generally removed for aesthetic reasons.

An old dog of mine that died in 2007 had numerous of these. I couldn't justify the surgery to remove them-- both in the trauma to her and the cost for me.

Our labs both have them. Basically we were told by the vet to ignore them. And in general they have never been an issue and never got too large. But at one point one lump on one labs neck started to worry the vet because it was causing him breathing problems when he would lay down in a certain way. They did remove that one and while they had him under they took off a big one under his front leg that was starting to hinder his leg movements. That was about 3 years ago and he has never had another big one like those again. But he does have other small ones.
