hot weather baby carrier?

So i am going to orlando this summer. We are spending one day at disney world (possibly more) and several at the beach, and one visiting my husband's friends who live a couple hours away. Right now the only carrier I have for my son (4 months now, will be 6 when we leave- weighs 16 1/2 lbs now) is a mai tai, which i really like and he does too, most of the time at least. However, it is made of a heavy material, and I just know we will both roast in it in florida. Any ideas for a cooler carrier, or maybe a cooler cloth I should look for? thank you!

p.s. any traveling/beach tips will also be welcome!

I prefer my linen rs in the 100-114 degree weather around here...anything minimal and breathable. I love my mai tei but it is hotter, yes. I've heard the gauze type wraps are good too, but that's a lot of cloth, ya know? GL!

Connecta makes a SW buckle-tai that is WONDERFUL in hot weather!

I was wondering the same thing. We are going to Las Vegas in July and I am looking into a gauze wrap to keep both of us cool.

GypsyMama has a great gauze wrap.

You could consider a solarveil or mesh pouch, like Kangaroo Korner makes.

I like the Didymos waves for warm weather.
