Step Stools

I would like to get a sturdy step stool for 21-month old DS to use. He loves wash his hands at the sink (right now we was under the tub spot, because he can reach it) and "help" in the kitchen. So, ideally I would like something that he could move around the bathroom as needed and also use in the kitchen, with me. Any recommendations? Should he have more than one?

We just have a basic white one from Target and so does my mom at her house for the kids. My 2.5 yr old can just now actually reach the water with her stool in our bathroom. She's way too short to reach anything on the kitchen counters unless she's standing on a chair pulled over from our table. But we have an island so the kids stand on one side and I am on the other when they're helping out in the kitchen. I've seen a lot of two step stools so maybe that would be tall enough, my kids always fall off of those at friends houses though. haha.

Thank you for your info., especially regarding the two step type. Anyone have a Baby Bjorn Safe Step?

We have a one step step stool and a two step stool. The one step gets used mostly as a table when DS is sitting on the floor. The two step gets hauled all over the house and used to get him up to better heights. Ours is a metal folding stepstool, like you'd use in a workshop or kitchen. It has a handle along the top so there's something for DS to hold which is nice.

Not yet but I ordered one and it'll be here on Tuesday. I hope it's okay!
