now it's absurd?

As I was getting out of the shower tonight, dh started laughing at my profile and belly. He says that I'm now at the point of absurd and comical, like it some kind of a clown suit with this huge thing strapped to the front.

I'm not sure how I managed to not kick him.... maybe because it would have cost me my balance or pulled a groin muscle if I tried.

... he sure is lucky I love him so much...

Oh, wow. I think I'd have cried if my dh had said that to me!

husbands seem to be allowed to say things that others can't. I think I'd cry too.....

I have to lol, because that's the kind of thing my husband would say at this point. He loves me, though...and he's rather entranced with my enormous butt right now so I have to let those things go.

oh wow. THat would send me over the edge into a serious crying jag.

I'm sure you look beautiful, mama.

LOL... that deserves payback... you know... like shaving his eyebrows in his sleep or something you know, just so you can BOTH be "absurd"

I think this is the only time in our lives when we can laugh at the way we look. I remember my first pregnancy when the H said I looked like a pygmy! At first I was taken aback, and then I realized, that I sort of did look like a little white pygmy! We can be beautiful in our pregnant bodies as well as a little absurd, we just aren't used to seeing naked pregnant ladies, ever! Pregnancy is such a temporary thing, you will get your body back before you know it, then if he says you look like your wearing a clown suit, you have every right to belt him!

Although, I totally advocate shaving the eyebrows while he sleeps!

I catch my husband giggling when he catches my profile sometimes. I think its mostly that he can't believe we built this thing that has taken over my body.
I also get a lot of butt comments. I think he's kind of hoping it sticks around.

Haha. What is it with the butts? Dh was joking when I start working out to get back in shape I should work everything else out... And just have a huge butt.

Yeah and I feel ya on the hurt feelings part, I just take stuff with a grain of salt and remind myself I am crazy hormonal... So most likely it is something i'd have cracked up about before so I shouldn't bother getting so upset.

Oh the things men say......it's like their brains are NOT attatched to their mouths.....yeah, it's a good thing we love them...sometimes we just need to keep a list of those little things that make loving them worthwhile so when they open their mouths, we can look at the list and resist the urge to shoot!
