How is everyone getting stuff done. Liam is 3 weeks & I am just now able to use my wrap. I have a hard time finishing one chore at a time...so scatterbrained right now.

Getting one thing done at one try is sooo not a priority right now.
We have a maid who comes every other week. I attempt to do what I can and just do my best to let go of what I can't.
I do wear Eden in a wrap while I work. She loves it. My 3 year old is usually the one that's really preventing me from doing a whole lot...

At 3 weeks I definitely wasn't doing any housework, just sitting on the couch all day with Rory and using any free second to prepare lunch and snacks for the 2 and 4 year old. Gradually I added in sweeping/vacuuming, then dishes, then laundry. Now that she is 7 weeks I finally started grocery shopping too. So at this point I'm nearly back to normal!! It is a ton of work though!!

We're at 4 weeks tomorrow. I have done some laundry and have been back to the bulk of the cooking for about a week now. I try to do some cleaning in the kitchen while I'm doing that. I also handle some part of my first son's bedtime routine each night. We have cleaners come once a week for floors and bathrooms and a little other neatening, which makes a huge difference.
I couldn't manage even that much if it weren't for my partner! As long as the baby isn't hungry, she'll take him when I need a break. (During one of his angry fits, when he was pulling off the breast repeatedly and hurting me, she fed him a bottle while I pumped and then did some other things around the house.)
I actually kept a morning schedule several days last week and I'm trying to get myself to the point where I can take our older son to school again, especially now that it's warming up a little.

I feel so lucky... DH does most of it here... He is home on parental leave until the end of August...
He does most of the cleaning and the boys go to him more than me for when they want something... he doesn't cook but he has been making a big effort in the kitchen and prepping everything so that I can be in and out of the kitchen quickly...
This is the second time that he has gotten the parental leave (it didn't exist when my two oldest were born) but now I can't imagine not having him home..

I read something funny the other day about a wife saying to a husband before he left for work that when he returned home and if the house was in the same condition it was when he left to assume it's because she had picked up the house about 12 times during the day and that it was a good day. And that's exactly how it is here... lol
I do the tidying, wash and fold the laundry, and dinner. My daughter does the garbage and dishes and my husband puts the laundry away and bathes my ds and puts him to bed. On the weekends, my dh cleans the downstairs and hangs out with ds while I sleep in with dd2 and he does the things I couldn't get to during the week.

We are getting basics done..clean dishes and clothes, and other stuff is happening when it can. I am not worried if the toys are all not picked up or beds not made though.
