Really painful sore on roof of mouth... HELP!

I've been dealing with this all week, and it really hurts! What can I do to help it heal? I'm eating soft foods, using tea tree oil on my toothbrush when I brush my teeth, drinking tea with raw honey... what else? It is so painful that I'm afraid to rinse or gargle with anything strong... even drinking liquid hurts.

Thanks for any suggestions!

I've always had good luck with mouth cuts/sores/enlarged taste buds using a homemade mouthwash with a little tea tree oil and grapefruit seed oil and salt...
Usually takes a few days doing multiple washes...

good luck, mouth sores are painful!

l-lysine, at a much higher dose than what is recommended on the bottle.

ETA - my sister had a CRATER in her tongue one Thanksgiving. We found a drugstore that was open T-giving am, got her some l-lysine, and she was eating dinner that evening.

Are you taking vitamin C? Sometimes if I take too much, I get those. When I stop taking it, it clears up within a day or two.

Until then, I'd do warm water and salt rinses.

Thank you so much!! I had baking soda, salt and TTO on hand yesterday, and did several rinses, but will head out to the store today to get some of the other things suggested.
