Vet Recommendation - Toronto

Not sure if this should go in the Pet section or the Canada section but I'll try here first.

I'm looking for a recommendation for a raw feeding friendly, minimal vaccine, pro alternative/complementary treatment vet in Toronto. We live in the South east so around here would be nice but am willing to drive a bit if it's a good vet.

Any recommendations? Thanks.

I work right downtown (cabbagetown) on Gerrard and sherbourne... We are an amazing hospital but we aren't big into holistic.

Thanks for the suggestion! I was aware of East York and was also looking into some other options.

We used to use Dr. Elson at Rexdale Animal Clinic but sadly he moved away. He was super though! I've heard good things about East York also. Unfortunately I don't have any other suggestions as we've moved out to the 'burbs.

There are very few holistic vets in the GTA....I'd wager that 90% of them opt for traditional medicine. I have worked at 6 hospitals in different areas across Toronto and they were all traditional....most will not be advocators of Raw diet. Many have new vaccine regimes now though. 3y Rabies, 2 y DHPP 1y bordetella. By law here in Toronto they must at least have rabies up to date...with the issues of distemper showing up lately in raccoons in the GTA I also think it is important to keep DHPP up to date....Bordetella is important if you board your dog (required by most faciilities) or if you regularly go to dog parks.
