Is it necessary to temp during AF?

Just curious if I can take a break?

Also, do you know if BD thermometers warn you if the battery is getting low? I was just thinking I have had mine for probably 5 years and never needed a new battery.

Don't know on the battery, but I do know that a lot of people do take a break from temping during AF.

Absolutely! I have a long cycle so I only temp from CD13 or so onward...

Good question about if the thermometer lets you know about the battery...huh...

if you take HPT and they are clearly negative and you see a clear temp drop then by all means i would take a few days off. the only reason to temp during AF is to make sure your temp stays low and it is really AF and not early preggo bleeding

here is how i temp:
  • not during AF since i take HPT every cycle i know it is AF.
  • sometimes none, sometimes sporadically till about CD9 ,since i never o before CD14 that gives me plenty of time to see a pre O baseline.
  • from CD9 till i get crosshairs, i temp every day
  • after i get crosshairs i temp just on weekdays that my DH gets up, since that is when i temp, i give myself weekends off
  • i sometime just stop or go bak to sporadic temping in the end of the TWW, i dont care to sit and watch temps go down, blah

I don't. Esp if AF arrives on a weekend. Last cycle I started on CD4 or so, and I'll probably do the same this time.
