convertible car seat without handle

Thread Starter
We are ready to switch LO from her infant travel system car seat with a handle. We currently have a couple of those dangling toys attached to the handle which keeps babe busy during car rides. When I forget to put up the handle, she kind of panics because she doesn't see her little buddies hanging there.

Our new car seat doesn't have a handle to hang her toys on. Is there a product like an activity bar that attaches to these? What do you other parents do to keep baby entertained in the car?

Firstly, (in case you are planing on having more kids) not all car seats allow you to have the handle up while driving

I don't know of any aftermarket bars that attach to a convertible and would guess that they would be unsafe unless provided/marketed by the company who manufactures the seat.

I would just put the toys on your child's lap. And be ready to hand them some more when you're stopped at traffice lights etc.

What about using a strip of Velcro and a string to hang things from the car's ceiling? It might swing around a bit more, but your baby might love that!

A friend of mine rigged up something from the handle by the door on the ceiling of the car. Not sure exactly how she did it but you can probably get creative.
