so, since we moved to New Zealand, potty has been on the back burner a bit. it happened in two ways: 1. someone stopped signally; and 2. with so much going on, we hardly noticed signaling. So it was mostly our fault. LOL
it was interesting to watch DH during this process. he used to potty nights and weekends, i took care of the rest. I never realized how weird he was about it. he would get upset about a miss, but never really unglued. put him under stress, though, and he's freaking out "Why isn't he signalling!" and "i hate changing diapers!"
and i'm like, dude, if we didn't know about EC< that would be normal. LOL and he's like "oh yeah." EC was just easy for us, you know? and then we were in this situation where there were WAY more misses than there were catches and so we were doing a basic cloth diaper routine. DH did not like it.
so, i told him to back off (emotionally) and he did.
the thing that developed that really was weird, though, is that DS kinda became immune to the whole wet/dirty diaper. at night, he would just SOAK one. and before, he couldn't stand it. so the signaling slowed down a lot too.
i guess it was on friday, i just decided to take over the whole thing for the weekend. we have caught all weekend--including overnight which was 3 pees each night! now, DH is back feeling motivated and excited to be doing it again.
it's been great, really. and the signals are back up and running!
so, six week pause for all of us, but we are back on line. it's going really well.

and a pause during a cross-WORLD move is pretty unsurprising, it's great that it was only 6 weeks.
