VBAC Accomplished!

I'm a little late posting this....my computer broke shortly after my daughter was born so my internet access is limited.

Basically just wanted to tell everyone that I had an amazing VBAC Feb 5 at the University of Washington Medical Center with the midwives.

My daughter was 8 lb 4 oz with an 85% head (although baby was smaller, head was nearly as big as my son's....he was born cesarean after "failure to progress" and stuck baby after 4 hours pushing....he was asynclitic and OP). She was born after about 12 hours of active labor, just over 1 hour of pushing. Only one stitch, I never had any pain after the birth. Everything went really well and the nurses and midwives were very supportive and LISTENED to me. Not one thing was done without my express consent, and they would discuss everything as options and I got to choose what to do.

I must add that my pregnancy and labor were complication free, I can imagine they may have been less accommodating if I were having complications or any risk factors.

Good luck to the other VBAC seeking mamas out there.
