IntelliGender tests.

Thread Starter
When I was pregnant, there were several threads about the IntelliGender tests. I don't have the time to dig them up again (baby has hiccups!), but I wanted to update: they didn't work for us.

I took the tests twice, several weeks apart. I was careful to read all the directions, and it was the right time in pregnancy. I'm quite sure that I did things right - didn't bump the jar when it was supposed to sit still, or anything like that. The color was pretty clearly GIRL both times. I had another boy a week and a half ago.

So don't trust the tests.

thanks. i was looking at those yesterday. did you have an ultrasound and was it correct? It's seems so hard to wait until 20 week ultrasound!!

are these the ones you can buy at Walgreens and such? Don't they have a pretty low accuracy rating on the box...like 50% or something?

Mine was correct. We did it just for fun though and didn't tell anyone the results.

LOL....so a 50% chance of it being a boy and 50% chance of it being a girl? Is that what the box says?

just as accurate: do the draino test (and follow all safety precautions) because that test is basically the same thing. And neither are scientific or accurate... just entertainment.

Best way to know: have the baby lol

Same but opposite for me...Intelligender said boy, and u/s said girl, and she is most definitely a girl now at 5.5 weeks old.

It didn't work for us, either.

Our Intelligender test said girl at 10 weeks, but our ultrasound at 18.5 weeks said boy (98% positive)! (Click links to see pics.)

I've heard similar reviews from others.

I honestly think it's a fun (waste of money) type thing to buy and do with your girlfriends knowing perfectly well that you could flip a coin and have just as much a chance of being correct.

Still, when I'm in my major decluttering mode, and want to get rid of either a ton of baby boy or baby girl clothes.. it's awfully tempting.

Didn't work for us in that the results weren't readable. We stared and stared at that cup and it didn't look like their website's results for boy or girl. I was hoping to know early, but it was a waste for us. Too bad! It would be a great product if it worked

I just saw an ad for this in a magazine. Their website says they're 93% accurate in clinical trials and 82% accurate in home use. But from what you ladies are saying, I should save my money and wait for the 20-week ultrasound!
