Just had to share our conversation from last night...

Backstory: DH and I never planned on cosleeping. When DS was born He slept on me the first 1/2 of the night and next to me the second 1/2 since I couldn't lay on my back. Then he went into a cosleeper once he would sleep by himself attached to my side of the bed. He slept in that until he was 14 months old in our room. After a point we lowered it to pack n play level obviously. He has been sleeping in his crib for 4-5 of the last 6 months. Still sleeps in it during naps. Well over the last month the longest stretch he's had in it at night was 3 hours. I'm currently pregnant w/ twins, and desperately in need of my sleep, so it's not worth fighting his will since he just wants to be with us. We have a Queen size bed, it's not really comfortable for him to share it with us. But DH has said all along he didn't want him sleeping w/ us... he wasn't comfortable with it.

The conversation setting: DS is sleeping in the middle of our bed, DH had just tried to move him to his crib and he woke up an freaked out. I settled him back down and to sleep. DH climbed into bed and said
"I think we better go look at King size beds... I can't see this working especially with the twins coming any other way!"

LMAO sorry this was so long, but I had to share this with you all!!!

Awww that's sweet. I knew my DH had come around when DS was about 3 months old and it was Valentines day. He gave me a card with 3 pairs of feet - a mom, a dad, and a toddler - and it looked like they were all laying down. The card read, "Happy Valentine's Day... (inside) from the other side of the bed." To this day that is my favorite Valentine's day card ever. It was so sweet and perfect, and showed me that he had come around and was also able to cherish those nights cuddled up with our baby.

That is a wonderful feeling! When Huz first said to me, "just leave her in our bed," I almost died. These days I think it's me that would rather her sleep in a crib nearby....
