I really wanted a facing me stroller. I have the added difficulty of shipping to me, so you might get to try out some that I didn't get to try out.. but here are a few you might consider..
Maxi Cosi foray I found for about $350
Mia Moda Atmosferra I found for about $200
Graco Flip it (but I didn't find it without the travel system thing so that seems a bit of a waste unless you know someone in need of an infant car seat that you could gift that part to). Also about $200
I didn't find any others that were in this price range.. I really liked the Combi Ithru, but the company said it hasn't been in production for a couple of years, so good luck finding one..
After this price range, I didn't find any others until you hit the $500-$1000 prices..
I ordered the Mia Moda, but sight unseen really- I was able to test drive the Graco flip it, but the reviews said people didn't like kicking one of the axles when it is in the facing me position, we are short, so it didn't bother us so much, but I didn't like the infant car seat thing and it seemed really plasticky and cheaply constructed compared to some others.. flipping the handle was super easy though I expect that switching the seat around on the MM will be bit more challenging.
Oh yeah, and I needed one that would work from the newborn stage.. because I am having a June baby and our summers are rather short, so one that starts at say, a couple months of age would be a waste for me.
Used strollers around here is difficult- strollers seem to change hands ALOT because shipping here is so expensive.. all I found over the past couple of weeks were super old and a few travel systems..
Our first stroller I bought at a garage sale many years ago.. it was an old Graco and had a steel frame with a cloth interior (no padding).. it was very versatile, though.. front and rear facing, and the reclining options were amazing.. all the way up, all the way flat and feet came up to make a bassinet.. The frame was a bit rusty though and eventually there was a hole in the side seam of the fabric, so we got rid of it when we moved.. wish I had found another one like it though.. but probably recalled many many times.
