soil sample question

A couple months ago I went out in my yard where my new garden bed is going to be and dutifully dug up soil samples throughout and mixed them together in a bucket. Then I set the bucket on my back steps and forgot about it. It got snowed on a lot, then melted in and finally dried out. If I now take a sample from it and send it in for soil testing will I still get reasonably useful results?

Nope, dig a fresh sample. The microbes have been at work in your bucket and they have changed the composition of things. Especially if it has been full of snow/water your soil may have been anaerobic for awhile.
