Does a yeast sensitivity include things that feed yeast, such as fruits...?
We have a big NO list, and very short YES list. We tested through muscle tone.
The Yes/ no food list is from a friend, and from what the health-food store consultant told me.
Please advise:
NO:
Gluten Products, dairy, eggs, corn, potatoes and cooked carrots, fruit, all sugars and honey, soy.
Yes: GF Grains, most vegetables, Meat and chicken, nuts and seeds. We're taking probiotics.
Questions:
1. Onion and Garlic, both raw and cooked, good or not?
2. Are rice cakes and rice pasta instant sugar in the body, therefore on the NO list?
3. GF grain breads are also not good, because they're from flour which is considered refined, even home baked?!
4. Are potatoes on the bad list, because they transform to sugar?
5. Is corn also instant sugar?
6. Eggs feed yeast?
7. Spices: I called one spice company I use, and they said only what's on the label is inside. Can I use spices?
8. Tomatoes?
I can't afford organic now, so we have just some items in organic.
Additional info: My 2 yr. old doesn't have a UTI. The urine test showed e/t normal. He has pimples on his bum, red around the anus, and has had soft stools for a long time. Not diarrhea, but very soft.
(Are the pimples yeast?)
I'm nursing a 2 month old, who came down with eczema, and hives. I'm on a starvation diet (AKA Elimination diet) and it's mostly cleared. However he still has bright green stools, alternating with yellow ones. He mostly has a diaper rash, with red around the anus. I'm also off nuts. Are any nuts safe for me? A year ago I suspected candida for myself, but now due to the baby's reactions, I got strict. It's about a week since we started.
WE're both very hungry. Is there anything else we can eat? I need the energy to be a mother, nurse... and my 2 yr. old is very frustrated that he can't have anything either. And he loves bread. He sees his 2 older brothers eating, and we're trying to have separate mealtimes, bec. even healthy stuff (like fruit) he can't have.
(Blood tests here to check for allergies is only when the symptoms are horrible...)
Also, For how long do we have to keep at it?
One more thing: We don't have internet at home, and with my busy life now, I get on-line once a week or so. (That means no time for research really.)
I am a bit confused.
Sorry it turned out so long, I tried to write as short as possible.
Thank you, Ana
