Greetings from London

Hi all,

I'm a 32 year old Mummy to an 8 month old boy living in London, England. It has taken me 8 months to learn about attachment parenting and say to myself 'Gosh, so that's what I've been doing!' I wish I had learnt about AP while pregnant and saved myself a lot of agony by reading stuff from baby trainers (the evil Gina Ford and misguided Tracey Hobb for starters), thoroughly disagreeing with them and then worrying I'm a bad mummy and doing it all wrong! So nice to know that thinking allowing your child to 'cry it out' seems inhumane is not necessrily a wrong thought after all!

Anyway, co-sleeping, baby-wearing, breastfeeding, baby-led weaning and proud

Nice to meet you all

Hello and welcome to MDC!

To each country their own "sleep through the night gurus", it seems - sounds like your Gina Something could be good friends with the author of "Jedes Kind kann schlafen lernen" ("Any child can learn to sleep").
