Anyone else have a "hormonal burning" feeling?

It could be something totally different, but the most accurate way it feels to describe it is a "hormonal burn". I'm still in the first trimester. It feels like when you *need* to sleep to get out the burn, but it's not sleep related. And nothing actually burns, but there's an overall sense of that feeling, mostly on the front side of my body from my head to my uterus. It's not painful, just another side affect of pregnancy, and it leaves me trying to find the right food to eat or liquid/temperature to drink, but nothing puts it at ease. I wonder if progesterone cream (which I used during my last pregnancy) would be beneficial, and/or would it be safe to used if not specifically recommended for this pregnancy??
Anyone else?

Whoa, that's so weird. I think I know what you are talking about! I have been feeling this the past couple of days. I feel kinda fuzzy and tired, but I'm not really tired. It feels like when you really need to sleep, but are still awake for some reason. But I don't need sleep.

I think I get it. And I'm surprised that I'm not alone!

I would be inclined towards seeing an acupuncturist who is familiar with pregnancy and women's health, to see what she could do. Personally, I am really sensitive to energy and get hot spots, and have had success with acupuncture and cranial sacral therapy.

YESSS! That is me, Ive described it as a hot flash type feeling to my hubby and while it is similar it is different. I wanted to mention i thought it was BECAUSE of my progesterone. I didnt have this feeling with the other pregnancies but with the others i was not on prog. So Im wondering if you were on prog. if it would be worse?

AT LEAST were not alone in this!

I tried some progesterone cream from my last preg, even though it's expired, and I believe it works! It diminished the burn last night, and I put it on this morning and haven't had the burn.
ivymae, I'm a bodyworker and also very in-tune to energy hot spots, etc! This felt totally different, though... hormonal.
