One week with no breaks. Been sticking to 1600 - 1900 calories per day. Lost 2 lbs and about 5 inches! I did lose 11 pounds since January 1st just from calorie counting as well.

I am taking pictures every single day and thought I'd post my first weeks pictures!

Side shot

Front shot

Back shot

I lost 2 inches alone on my chest and I was freaking out a bit because I just had a breast reduction done last may, but DH pointed out to me that my "back boobs" are shrinking. HA!

I feel really good! I'm loving the workouts!

Woot! You're kicking butt! I'm glad you found a workout that is working for you. I'm a shredder, too. Isn't it amazing?!

Love it! Today I tried using the feature where you turn Jillians voice off and I had to restart and put it back on. She really motivates me. Especially when she says "I know this hurts, I know it's not easy, but it's the hard ones that really count". A part of me wants to reach through the tv and strangle her...but another part of me wants to kiss her and say thank you!

I believe Jillian Michaels has a 30 day diet, but I don't follow it. I just follow a 1600-1900 calorie per day plan. I'm also 200 pounds and 5'7 though, so adjust your calories according.

I find those results pretty astounding - and inspiring! Maybe it's time to pull out the 30 day shred again (and stop drinking beer) - but seriously, 5 pounds is good, but how those came off and how the rest of your body is shaping up is phenomenal!

OK, I'm just browsing new posts and not even thinking about exercising and you've got me interested.

Babygrant you look great. That's impressive progress.

Okay, so now I'm looking at this DVD...

I saw a review that said "if you have bad knees, this DVD is not for you." Would you agree with this? Are there a lot of squats, for instance? I have bad knees, and it can be hard to get enough exercise...

Hmm well I'm on level 1 and it's a bit hard on the knees....but I don't have bad knees.

Starts out with jumping jacks, jump rope (without the rope), quite a few squats.......

Hopefully someone else chimes in here.

I modify all the cardio. Jumpig jacks I really work the upperbody, but kind of just march, same with the jump rope, I just jog in place. I do not go deep into the squats either. I am focusing mostly on the upper body and abs. I have done it 6 times and I am following a diet plan and I have not had as good results. I do feel stronger, my clothes fit a tiny bit better, but nothing amazong. I feel I need to add about a half hour of additional cardio each day..

I think that the worst part for the knees are the static lunges. If you don't do them exactly right, they can kill the knees! When we first did this last year, my husband and I changed the static lunges to full lunges from standing, and that helped, but this time around, I am paying more attention to form, and helped my husband do the same thing, and we have had no knee pain.

Congrats, you look amazing I can't believe that's one week. I would so do that DVD if it weren't for the knee issues. Jumping jacks and jump rope are out of the question unfortunately.

Wow!! Lookin good!! I also love the 30 day shred. It helped me blast my last few baby pounds away after my first. Now if I only had a napping baby I could get into it again!! I really miss it. Its the perfect workout.

Keep up the great work!
