Fell off Wagon, now DD hates diapers

Hi All-
I pretty much dropped my cloth right around Christmas time (also when I found out I am pregnant with #2). The first trimester killed me and I only used my cloth diapers every couple of week. Now I am feeling so much better and am ready to get back with it. The problem, DD complains every time I put them on her. It seems like they are not fitting quite as well as they were before, maybe a bit tight around the legs and she doesn't like the Velcro around the waist. She complains for a good 20 minutes after each diaper change. I don't want to torture the poor child, but I want to use all of my diapers I have, you know.

What to do?

I have happy heiney one size diapers. I stuff them most of the time with folded prefolds.

Oh no! I used disposables with my daughter and at 2 she was potty trained but I wanted to use a cloth diaper at night and she just would not wear it. I don't really know what to suggest, you don't want to torture her and I am guessing you don't want to buy a new stash! I would even wear a minky diaper if it came in my size! lol

I am thinking about maybe getting some pull up type... what we really need is something a bit more trim in between the legs. Any ideas?

I would prefer just to use the prefolds we have if I am going to get some covers...

Would bikini twisting the insert help trim it up between the legs? There are people who replace the velcro on diapers with snaps for about $3 per diaper if you want to try that for a couple and see if it goes any better.
