So hungry I could cry... Nursing? Twins? What?

It's my third. I'm due Nov. 3. I am so hungry all the time. And my stomach is not happy, all the time. So am I super extra hungry because I'm nursing still? Or can it be a sign of something else?

I thought at first I was having a girl because of the morning sickness (I have one of each, the girl was much worse). But now I'm thinking maybe twins because I am ravenous. Anyone else having this problem? Any thoughts? I just finished a bag of popcorn, and I am still so hungry. That's plus my cheese stick, steak and french toast... Wow, that's pretty disgusting in retrospect.

I had a similar thing for a few weeks in my first trimester with this pregnancy. I was starving all the time and everything tasted amazing. It was insane how much pleasure I got from eating. But, it went away after a couple of weeks and, now, my appetite is pretty normal.

I wasn't breastfeeding and am having a singleton but I could definately see how either of those could increase your appetite. For me, it just means I'm pregnant.

I gained 7 pounds before I went for my first prenatal check between weeks 2 and 8. I was ravenous before I learned that I was pregnant. I thought I had a bug or a virus. I would wake up in the middle of the night and eat a baked potato. I still get a ravenous appetite first thing in the morning, but I keep a food journal & stop eating after a certain point. I was eating 800 calories before I left for work!

That appetite has subsided now and I'm having a singleton.

I had that with DD, my first. This time, I'm nursing her and it looks like just one baby (at 10w, 5d, so I'm pretty sure) and I was only crazy hungry a couple of days, although I do snack a lot. I also wondered if I was having twins because I was so tired, but I'm not.

For me, the appetite thing seems to be pretty random. The only other possibity I can think of (besides twins etc.) is that your body is craving some random nutrient or other and is trying to get it by eating as much as possible!

i am currently almost 13 weeks with #3.. the first sign i was pregnant with this one was constant hunger.. that lasted til about 5-6 weeks when i started feeling so sick that i couldn't tell the difference between hungry and sick but i didn't want to eat. i'm starting to feel a bit better now and for the last week i've been really hungry again.. i think i was probably hungry the whole time and couldn't tell, .. i am also nursing my 22 month old and last week before i started feeling better my midwife told me that my urine test showed i was not eating often enough.. anyway.. i think its a pretty normal pregnancy thing..

I'm due Nov 7. This is my third also. And, I will commiserate with you. I am SO SO hungry. I am nursing DS just once a day at this point, and during my second pregnancy I was nursing DS1 many times a day, but don't remember feeling this hungry. One thing I have going on that I never remembered from before is I am salivating A LOT! Salivation could certainly play in to my brain telling my stomach to be growling at me. Mentally--well, I guess on a blood sugar/metabolism level, I don't feel hungry at all. I feel just fine. But my tummy is growling every 60 to 90 minutes. It is total overkill, and really annoying.

I get so hungry every two hours. I need to eat something big right before bed so that I don't have to get up and snack in the middle of the night. It is so crazy. I am eating us out of house and home. Breakfast, second breakfast, lunch second lunch...you get the idea lol. I'm 10 weeks, Ds weaned the week I got pregnant, and I as for twins, well not likely but anything is possible I guess. But I remember last pg my hunger got so intense so fast also.
