my dd has recently started stitching.

and she is loving it.

the proper needle and thread thing.

i was wondering do you know of any simple dolls she could make with my help?

she reaaaaaaaaly wants to make her own dolls.

i can figure out a pattern. are there jpgs of what we can make?

i need it to be pretty simple.

she has done the felt kit that one can buy but she really wasnt impressed with them.
thanks!!!!

that will be so much fun!
ya'll can draw your patterns easily. you could do one piece dolls (like a gingerbread cookie shape, front and back) and also you can do arms and legs and attach them seperately to the head/trunk piece. For their faces, you can do fabric crayons or markers or paint, or felt features, or buttons, or embroidery....
and for hair you could use yarn or felt or fleece braids.
I use a paper towel or piece of paper over the finished doll to make patterns for her clothes.
You guys will have a lot of fun with this, and don't forget about making quilts for the dolls!

I made a really simple sock doll with my dd recently- ours was probably too simple- it didn't even invovle sewing- but if you google "sock dolls" you will find lots of choices.
