At 5 and 6, my DS has cried because he won't ever be pregnant. He wants to be a mother, and even though I've explained adoption he insists it's not the same as growing a baby inside of you. He's going to be 7 next week and still says he's a girl on the inside, a girl in his heart.

Maybe he will outgrow it, maybe he won't. I love him dearly either way.
