mamas who BF their newest LOs, what to do w/ first child?

i could not think of a good title! lol

when baby#2 will be born, baby#1 will be 14 months old. i plan on BFing baby2 and since i EPed for baby1, weaning wont be an issue .... anyways, to get to the point:

how do you nurse your newest addition with an energetic, lively toddler running around? because i want to be able to set up a good milk supply and always hear about marathon nursing sessions. i assume i will be gating off doorways or staying in one room while im nursing (whenver DH is not at work he will watch baby1 whenever i need to BF.)

what has worked best for you? what hasnt? tips and advice please! thanks

i would try a sling and keep newest with you always
