It's 11pm, think cat is about to have kittens, don't know whether to stay up or not?!

Hoping someone is around who can help me?

The pregnant stray that we took in is showing signs of impending labour. I think. She's calling out to me alot. Is reeeaaallly smoochy and has been adjusting her bedding (which she hasn't done the whole time she's been here). She has hardly moved or eaten today.

So anyway, I *think* she might be going into labour and she seems to want my company, but I know that the whole process can take up to six hours and I can't see any signs that she's actually in labour yet. It's 11pm. I'm soooo tired (I was up to 1am last night, then the kids were up at 6am) and if nothing is going to happen I'd really like to go to bed, but if it's likely that labour will start soon, I'd like to stay up and be there.

Anyone around who can give me some advice on what to do? Should I stay up, or head to bed?

Can you go to sleep close by, or go to sleep and put on an alarm for 2 hrs from now? I have no cat experience, so take that for what it's worth

I just woke up to work on a project, its just after 5 am, so I feel your exhaustion!
Good luck to little kitty...

Well, I called it a night at 11.30pm because I was just too tired. I was up a couple of times getting DS2 bottles so I checked on her then.

Still no kittens this morning! I think it must be soon! She's still nesting, restless, cleaning herself alot, talking, super cuddly. From what I've read she's got all the signs, so it's got to be soon, right?!
