Should I be worried

that my 5.5 week, 12 poundish, exclusively BF'd baby just slept 8 hours last night?

We feed on demand, and for the past week or so he's been doing 6 hour stretches at night (still 2-3 hours during the day). Last night we had a 3.5 hour long cluster feeding session from 8 until 1130, then he went to sleep and didn't wake up until 730 this morning!

Since Thursday I've been pumping nightly about 2 hours after he goes to bed. I didn't pump last night since he nursed all the way up until my bedtime and my boobies couldn't take it anymore. Sunday night he ate at 830 and went to bed and I pumped at 1030 and got a total of 5 ounces combined. So I know he's still getting something. He sleeps in a bassinet in our room so I would have heard him if he woke up last night.

Yes, I know I probably just jinxed myself and he'll be up all night tonight to make up for it. I have just always heard that BF'd babies don't sleep through the night, and mine all have done big stretches around the 6-8 week mark. After going to hell and back with supply issues and weight gain problems I can't help but worry that there is something wrong with them sleeping longer...

My general rule of thumb is if the baby is gaining weight well and the diaper count is good, I let 'em sleep.

Our baby did this at about 2 weeks- she slept for 7 hours straight. She then came down with a cold, which I guess makes sense because I sleep more when I get sick too. It hasn't been repeated since. We have a visiting nurse that comes to the house the first month and she actually came the day after that happened and she said to me to "enjoy".

My first two daughters slept long stretches early on, and I let them. Juju @ 2 weeks was sleeping in five-hour stretches at night (before I started to have milk supply issues); because she was a preemie, I wasn't supposed to let her sleep that long, but I kept a chart of her feedings for the pediatrician to look at, and he said it was fine to let her sleep since she was still getting more than 8 feedings per 24 hours (she was getting around 12, I think).
