What toys did your 1 year old love?

Ana's bday is coming up and we are looking for suggestions on a few gifts. We just purchased a water table for outdoor play this coming spring/summer. Anything that was a big hit at your house?

Most of his play time is spent pulling things out of his toy box and putting them back in. Really anything that involves pulling things out of other things and then putting things into other things He has a little toy kitchen with pots and pans in the oven and loves pulling them out and putting them (and anything else) back into the oven.

Anything that makes music/noise - shakers, drums etc. and also battery operated toys that play songs.

He also enjoys his ride-on toys. He climbs on and climbs off again over and over.

And then of course he loves anything he's not supposed to have, but I guess that wouldn't make a good birthday present

We gave dd1 a Rody when she turned one. She liked it right away and she still plays with it at 3.
They last forever too. My niece got one as well for her first birthday, she's now 17... It's been handed down from cousin to cousin since (4 or 5 of them) until they got it back for my nephew who's now 4. That's 16 years of uninterrupted bouncing!

Books and balls, and things that go round. A miniature basketball is one of his favorites, as is one of those tops you push the handle to make it spin. A xylophone is a favorite as well. And birthday balloons!
