Peidatricians in Abilene, Texas

Hey, I am trying to find a pediatrician in Abilene, Texas that is ok with NOT vaccinating or at least not pushy about when and how many they give at a time!! Can anyone help or have suggestions!! Thanks!!

Hello!!! DH and I have lived in Abilene for over a year now and we have NOT found a pediatrician that will not be pushy about vax. Actually I hate to say it but we gave up. It was pretty bad.

However we did go to a regular family doctor who would treat our son no questions asked, since he is over 2. Not sure how old your kids are? If they are over 2 let me know and I will give you his info!

Anyway, I am SUPER excited to see someone from mothering in Abilene! I posted when we moved here asking the same question and nobody could help me because nobody lived here! Please let me know if you are interested in getting together because I would love a like-minded mama friend in this town!

Hey There!! This information makes me sad to hear but was affraid of that! But thank you so much for your input!! I was worried I wouldnt find anyone who lived around there that is on here! (not sure that made sense).....I dont actually live in Abilene, I am about 50 miles south in the Coleman area. Small town of coarse so not really any choices around here for what we want for our kiddos. I have an 18 mnth old son, and one on the way, due in August! Yeah summer time!! ready for warm weather but I know I will be misereable by the time im ready to deliver!!

Like you, I am glad to find someone who is like minded...I dont know many who are....my sister is very crunchy and has been my support but she lives in Ohio...so phone calls are all i really get with her!

Great to "meet" you!! Maybe we can get together sometime...im not in Abilene alot but I do make my way over there.

Hey lilmom!

We are preparing to move to Abilene so I am hoping that you are still there! We are moving from a two year stint in Florida after 30+ years in Atlanta.

We have lived in Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach, Florida for the last two years after 30+ years in Atlanta, Georgia. Please PM me with any info on where to live, schools, etc. We would love to live in an artist/in-town area if such a thing exists.

The only thing that I can find out is that Abilene is "churchy" and "Friday night lights football" of which neither interest me... 

We have three children, two in college, and a Kindergartner! My husband and I both grew up in the country (Georgia & Mississippi, respectively) so we understand the nature of small cities.

Please PM me when you get a chance. I am looking for places to rent and have no idea where to begin!
