Anyone get a false negative with a digital HPT?

I guess I'm hoping against hope, but here it is...

I had a miscarriage in Dec., and we've been TTC ever since (3rd cycle). We BD'd every other day until a few days before I was supposed to ovulate, then BD's EVERY DAY (yes, EVERY DAY) for a week, then every other day. My cycles have been erratic post miscarriage--35 days, 25 days, now I'm on CD 29. I took a digital HPT (Walgreens) that said I was "not pregnant". I feel different--lower abdomen soreness, sore breasts, hungry all the dang time. (I remember my pregnancy signs pretty clearly since I was so recently pregnant.)

Has anyone gotten a BFN this late in their cycles, with a digital, and still been pregnant?

Thanks!

How many days past O were you when you tested? Some of the digitals have a higher sensitivity, like 50 so it might take another day or too. Maybe retest with a FRER if you think you might be pregnant. for you and sorry about your loss.

even after getting a YES+ on my first response digi I still got a clear NOT PREGNANT on a CBE.

However, I am very much pregnant. Digital tests are not known for being the first place you turn when you want to know... but more of a confirmation. Try a dye test.

Thank you Michelle, I am sorry for your loss as well.

According to Fertility Friend, I am 17 dpo. However, I have a 2 year old who still wakes up sometimes at night so it may throw my stats off. I am wondering if I might be 15 dpo. It is frustrating though, because according to FF I had a luteal phase of 11 days my last cycle, now I'm at 17...? I know my miscarriage was a chromosome issue (not implantation issue or anything), so my miscarriage was able to implant correctly.

My first child, we weren't even trying to get pregnant. I was in the middle of planning my wedding, we were going to do lots of things before having a child and BOOM I'm pregnant! (Of course I am forever grateful for it now.) And now that I'm actively planning, I can't get and stay pregnant to save my life!

my CBE digi negative was on 15dpo... some women just get their hCG a little later than others. My pregnancy slowly showed up on tests but I am second tri now with a VERY healthy little one!

(and previous testing early has NOTHING to do with it... with DD I had a bfp at 6dpo!)

maerynpearl--thanks for the info. How far along were you when you got BFP on the digital HPT?

my first response gold digital positive was 15dpo

my clearblue easy digital was 17dpo

and anything less sensitive (im not sure about walgreens brand) could have taken even LONGER!

I got a negative on a CBE digi when I was preggo...the FRER digi did however say I was preggo the next day...then the CBE showed preggo a day after that

I agree with the others...some of those tests need more HCG in your system...and if you are indeed pregnant (fingers crossed!!!) if the little bean implanted on the later side, HCG is just starting to work it's way up to a level that those tests would detect.

Being that you think you're at least 15DPO...I'd find a more sensitive test!

Baby dust!
