Carrier cover for inclimate weather

Is there such an item as a general carrier cover? I have various carriers, and need something that would just go over each. I saw blankets with clips and tried to make my own, it's basically the same but still not a very good solution.

I see a few of the carrier manufacturers make covers but I would rather not buy more than one.

For my car seat I have a general cover that is elastic and fleece and fits over most car seats, in order to take a sleeping baby from car into a store, etc.
I just wondered if there is something like this for baby carriers.
