I guess the title says it all....what do you use for a six month old? I don't want to buy disposibles just for swimming.

Yes, unstuffed pocket dipe... just use one that's not your favorite 'cause the chlorine can affect the color (although ours still look & work just fine after several swims so I don't know how likely that even is, maybe it's just if you're swimming frequently)
I've also heard you can use the cheap Gerber covers they sell at Walmart.

Imse Vimse makes a great swim diaper. Alternatively, an unstuffed pocket diaper would work. Something that has a fairly good seal around the legs is best. Disposable swim diapers don't keep in the pee. It is all about the poop. So, whatever will keep that in is best.
Chlorine may or may not harm your diaper. It can discolor and ruin the snaps, velcro and elastic. So, if you are not using a swim diaper, use something that you can dedicate just to swimming and not keep in your normal rotation.
Have fun at the pool!

Thanks for the info!
Now, I feel this might be a stupid question (my excuse is lack of sleep!) BUT...why unstuffed? Is it just because a stuffed one won't fit under her swimsuit? Also, if the diaper isn't holding the pee...is it going in the pool?!??!!
I really feel like these are silly questions, but I'm not getting it!!! (I need to sleep...maybe then my brain would be better!!!)

The pee will leak out either way (sorry for the gross factor but I don't know of any swim diaper that would actually keep pee in!!) and the diaper is just to keep the solids in. If you stuff it, it will get water-logged which will weigh your baby down -- not a good thing in the water!!
ETA: Not silly questions!! I spent a week++ researching this cause I was so confused about it.
