This month has been really weird. My husband and I have been trying for a little girl for about 10 months now, using the Shettles method. It's supposed to take a while to make a girl, but it's just been getting frustrating since I conceived my son within 2 weeks of getting married. Then I had sex one day before and on the day of ovulation, had orgasms before and after, and had cramping about a week after ovulation.
This time, I had sex two and half days before ovulation (about 12 hours after my husband marinated in a hot tub for 30 minutes) and I've been having cramps off and on since 3 dpo. I've also had a couple days of queasiness (that left,) some emotional overreactions and my skin has been breaking out.
But yesterday morning, 12 dpo, I took a HPT and got a BFN. My period is due tomorrow, and the cramping, which had been gone for about 4 days, is back. I want to be pregnant so bad! I know that the odds of conception happening on a cycle when DH was hot tubbing are slim, but I've been having so many symptoms that I want to believe it's still possible. His skin even tasted like copper the other day. I figured I'd get a BFP for certain when I tested, but the cramping today really has me down. Anyone else out there in a similar spot?

I'm waiting to take another HPT, since they're so expensive. I have one First Response left, and I'm going to give it a couple of days. I'm still cramping, but no AF is great news so far!
