Considering weaning, advice needed

I've been having an issue the last few weeks. My nipples have been cracked and bleeding, and it's super painful every time Ds2 nurses (which he wants to do all the time) I've been putting Lansinoh on them and I get them healed up a bit, but then he nurses and they hurt and bleed all over again. I'm at my wits end here, it hurts so bad! What else can I/should I do? I don't really want to wean because I know ds2 isn't ready for that, but I'm in so much pain. HELP! TIA.

what do you think caused the problem? sometimes a toddler's latch can get lazy and he has to relearn. sometimes thrush can cause cracking. i would try to address the cause of the problem so that you get some relief. there is probably a solution other than weaning, since you want to continue nursing. do you have anyone local who could help diagnose?
