OB wants me to do OPK's this month. When to start?

I saw an OB last Friday to figure out why the frick I'm not getting pregnant. We did some bloodwork that day (CD3), she wants me to do OPK's, and then get more blood work done 7DPO. My cycles have been all over the place, and she thinks I'm not really ovulating most months, so I'm not really sure when to start doing OPKs. I *think* my shortest FP has been 16 days, and my longest is about 25 days (based on when FF thinks I ovulated). That's a whole lot of tests if I ovulate late this month!

Based on my charts (see here: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/28382e), any suggestions for when to start doing OPKs?

Also, are $ tree tests okay?

I'm no charting expert but if I were you I'd probably start around CD 11 or 12 just to make sure I didn't miss it. That is a lot of strips but I get them online and they're waaay cheaper than in the store.

I've tried a couple of the cheap brands and this one is easier to interpret than the others, IMO.

HTH!

I too have bought my OPK's and HPT's online. I have bought mine at early-pregnancy-tests.com (I think that's actually the site that the amazon ones are from!)

But, with cycles that can fluctuate that much, I would say to go ahead and get some online tests (if not from that site, from somewhere that's nice and cheap)...so you don't have to feel as bad when you use 15 in one cycle!
