I have three beehives in my backyard, and I've got a baby due in May. The bees are currently dormant, but I'll need to do a little beekeeping before the baby is due. Do I have any reason to be concerned about getting stung? I got stung so many times last summer that I hardly even feel it now, but I think there's a stronger reaction at the beginning of the season. I'm not allergic in any serious way, though, just a topical reaction.
Then, further -- if by chance I happen to have a bad reaction, can I use an epi-pen? I've also got some stuff called "Apis" which I think is Apis Mellifica, though I have it in tincture form, stronger, I believe, than the homeopathic pill form. Could I use this before going around the bees, just to be safe? It keeps an allergic reaction from going anaphalactic, and it works well.
I'm not really that worried about it, just trying to be prepared. My husband suddenly developed an allergy to beestings last summer, and I was glad to be prepared with an epi-pen on hand. Either way, we'll both have to be around -- either me to make sure he's okay if he gets stung, or him there in case I have to lift something heavy. We'll be well covered, but bees sneak in the darnedest places sometimes. Also, my heavy pants they can't sting through won't fit, so my legs will probably be stingable.
Anyone know about this?

I'm due in August, but I really wasn't concerned about working the bees. I'll probably just suit up more than normal.
