i did try those collapsible wooden racks and they are too flimsy for me. I line dry at least one load a day between having 3 messy little girls plus one of them that WAS in cloth diapers until 2 weeks ago. So for exclusively line drying, those racks only lasted me like 6 months before they fell apart everywhere. My ikea rack is metal and very sturdy and I've used it for just over a year now every.single.day without it even showing any wear. It hasn't rusted even. We also have that same collapsible version in metal from target that was bought a month before I visited target and i use it to hold the overflow of socks and undies(or the undies that I don't want on my outside line
) and it's lasted and held up well but it was $19.99 at target and the frost rack from ikea was the same cost. So for my money i wouldn't get the target one because the ikea one holds WAY more and also folds just as flat. I keep it under my futon in my room when it's not being used(which is almost never). SO yeah, for my money, the ikea one. Just as sturdy as the metal ones from target, same cost, but fits more. And the wooden ones in my opinion for exclusive line drying are garbage. They might work for someone sunning diapers once a week but for literally $10more, you get one that you can use every day for more than a full load of clothing(even jeans and towels).
