Apple Cider Vinegar

Does anybody else drink apple cider vinegar (ACV) mixed with water?

I bought a bottle of Bragg's Organic ACV, and there is a recipe for a health drink. A few tsps of vinegar, filtered water, and honey if you like. Well, I've been drinking a glass each day, and I've noticed more energy throughout the day. Just wondering if anybody else regularly eats ACV too?

We try to but don't get it down every day. I add honey and warm it up for the kids and it is their "tea". I especially try to get them to drink some if I suspect a cold coming on.

I do at least once a day. It's torture for me because it tastes so terrible, but totally worth it. I feel so much better when I take it regularly.

I can't prolong it so I usually just take it like a shot. I try to do it daily but often forget in my sleep deprived state. I definitely always do it if I feel a cold coming on.

Never again. I can't do it with just water....the water seems to make the taste stronger.

I drink mine with hot/iced regular tea, peach tea, flavored water, or diet soda (only rarely).
ETA: I actually like the way it makes these drinks taste so I spread my dosage out over the day while drinking these....and I use a straw to minimize expsoure to my teeth.

I get at least 1 tbls a day down. Started for blood pressure reasons and kept going cause I can feel the difference on days when I don't get at least some down.

I drink it straight with a chaser of water. Drinking it mixed with something just prolongs it too much. And definitely for a cold! It is a big help.

I go through phases where I drink it everyday. When I get stressed I get terrible stomach aches, or if I eat too much fat in one sitting, and the ACV is an instant cure to my stomach aches whether stress related or fat related. I actually love the taste of it and don't even add the honey. It must mean I really need it if I love the taste, huh?

Isn't it better to get vinegar in a salad rather than drinking it mixed like that?

Maybe I'll have to try it one of these days.

What does it do for your blood pressure?

I have been forgetting to get in my ACV, but I used to do it every day. As sick as I've been this winter, I really should start back up again. I used to take it with 1 tbsp in a cup of water, sometimes with honey, sometimes without. I hold my nose and down it, but my kids love their "tea".

Thanks for the great reminder!

On the days that I drink it I've noticed that it's much lower....like it was routinely 135/80ish and since ACV it's routinely 120/70ish.

I take my pressure everyday at the same time to create a running history for the Dr....as a case for delaying those silly water pills. So far, so good.

I've been meaning to ask a question about this. My mom's dh's family gets together for a reunion each year. The "cousins" sit around playing Mexican Train Dominoes and they all talk about how wonderful taking ACV every day is. They all take 1/2 tsp-1 tsp daily. Here are all these elderly men talking about how wonderful they feel, so it must work, eh? HOW does it work, what does it do, etc? They say something about making the body more alkaline. Is that true? I'm wondering because I have dental issues, my grandmother and grandfather had dental issues, and I suspect my son and one of my dd's dental issues may be caused by too much acid. I wonder if ACV would help? And what else might it help? What kind is best?

TIA!!!

I like Bragg's Organic Raw ACV. Here is a cool website where I first learned about ACV..... http://www.earthclinic.com/Remedies/acvinegar.html

I sound like a spokesperson for the stuff, but I am just so happy with the results. I tell everybody I meet if they have a cold, and some of my family members have tried it with success.
ACV is supposed to make your body more alkaline, which is surprising because vinegar is acidic. The raw vinegar also has lots of nutrients and vitamins, enzymes, etc.

Lately, I'll pour a glass of water with 2 tsp. of vinegar. I'll sip on it throughout the day. I'm not a morning person, but this seems to give me energy to stay awake and get work accomplished.

For dental issues, what if you drink it through a straw, to avoid the teeth as much as possible? Also, diluting the vinegar in water should help some too.

What I'm wondering is if the acv helps make the body more alkaline, will it help our dental issues that come from us being too acidic? Seems to me that it would help.

Thanks for all the info!

I try to take it once a day. I drink it like a shot because I can't stand to sip on it.
