Need ideas for "Celebrate Spring" party

After a long and snow filled winter, my little guy has asked if we can have a party for spring. What a great idea! Of course we can. Um, now what? We're planning to invite 3-4 of his friends over, ages 2-4. We'll have bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and the sand table to play with. Any other ideas? Spring themed snack ideas? Party crafts/favors (if I get my act together)?

Have a garden tea party!

I am going to have a spring party too

I love the idea of a garden tea party, how fun!

I think doing a spring craft could be fun -- why not pick up some seed packets, dirt, and pots from a craft store (I just got some from Micheal's for about $1 each) and have the kids decorate the pots/plant the seeds. That + lunch and play could be awesome? And maybe a reading of a spring book?

You could serve a cup of dirt for a snack, I think its just pudding with crushed oreos on top and gummy worms sticking out...goes along with the potting plants craft.

What a great idea! My ds just did a couple of cute food crafts for spring in his speech class. Not the healthiest, but...

They took a bunny shaped cookie, added white frosting for the face and pink for the ears, m&ms for the eyes, red licorice for the whiskers and another candy piece for the mouth. They also did a graham cracker with frosting, frosted shredded wheat for the nest and jelly beans for the eggs to make a bird's nest. Lots of fun for the kids! And a delicious treat to boot!

Oh some good ideas here. You could always do an Egg hunt.
