Washing cloth pads in a front load washer

This is the first cycle that I've washed my pads in our front loader (we used to have a top loader).

I washed on hot, heavy duty cycle, extra rinse, with Sportwash. I washed them with a load of towels.

I don't think they are as clean as they were with my old washer. There are dark stains on some of them, and they don't smell like "nothing" like they used to. They have a slight "off" smell to them.

Does anyone have tips for getting them really clean again?

I have found that I have to wash my pads alone to get them really clean. I use hot water, Charlie's soap, double rinse, with vinegar in the rinse water.

I don't have a front loader, but I do have a HE machine, top loader.

To get rid of the odor, try a vinegar soak first, and then wash again. Maybe hydrogen peroxide for the stains.
