Is my milk coming too slowly?

I've been pumping to build my milk supply. DS had severe jaundice and we needed to supplement with formula, but after about 5 days of that I'm starting now to give him only breastmilk. I've been able to pump what seems like a whole lot of milk -- which is great for starting to build my "bank" in the freezer! But it seems like it takes a long time before let-down happens, and when it does, I'm only seeing milk come out of a couple places on each nipple into the pump. Didn't I read that there are 15-20 places on each areola where milk is released when baby sucks? It makes me worry that he isn't getting enough when he nurses.

I only saw milk come from a few holes even though there is more there. So that is normal. If he is having enough wet and dirty diapers that is how you will know if he is getting enough. You cant tell how much milk you make by pumping I had oversupply with dd yet I was unable to get much with pumping I just couldnt let down with one.

Every woman is different. And you can't see all the streams of milk coming out because the breast shield (forget the name of that piece) fogs up anyway.
Like PP said, if baby's output is good, don't worry. Congrats on the little one!!
