I made a dress!

I used 2skeins yellow cornucopia for the dress, and one pink for the shirt.

I wound the skein into two balls.

CO 10 sts from ball one (this will become strap 1) and 10 sts from ball two (strap 2) onto size 8 needles. (I used long tail).

Begin K1P1 ribbing while switching to size 6's.

Rib for about 7 inches.

At the end of strap one, CO 10 sts (I used the cable cast on). Continue across strap 2 using ball one.

Break yarn of ball 2 leaving a tail to weave in.

Using ball 2, CO 30 sts.

K1, P1 for another inch or so.

Begin increase:

K3, YO, K to last 3 sts, YO, K3
K3, P across, K3

Continue until you have 44 sts.

Break yarn of ball 2 again, and join these two pieces by knitting across with ball 1.

Continue knitting to desired length.

Switch to size 8's again as you bind off. When you get to your last st, pick up your first bound off st again, and bind off your last stitch. Then pull yarn through that stitch and weave in ends.

I weave in my ends as I go, and stitch the straps to the other piece as well.
