AP Playgroups in Philly?

Hello, mamas

I'm relatively new to the Philly area... I live in NE Philly. Are there any AP playgroups in the Philly area at all? My DD is only 4 months, so this is more for me than for her

Have you been to the breastfeeding support group at Pennsylvania Hospital? I met tons of like-minded mums there last year and we now have an unofficial playgroup of toddlers. Its a great place to meet new moms and extend the conversation over coffee afterwards. Its on Mondays--I don't recall the time, but roughly midday.

There is also a breastfeeding support group in West Philly at Studio 34 on Baltimore ave every other Wednesday. The next on is March 24 at 10am.

The Nesting House in Mt. Airy hosts a New Mom's Group every week, which isn't so much a playgroup, but is a great resource for those first few weeks/months. 

How old is your friend's little one?  There are a few other groups in the area, but I'm not sure if they would be the right age or not.  Feel free to PM me. :)

I am also looking for a like-minded support group for toddlers.  Anyone know of any?  We live in Doylestown so Mt. Airy isnt too far but U Penn is I think.  I have been on so many group sites and play dates...its really hard to "find a tribe".

I just joined this group and it seems like what you are looking for. They are hosting a child-led playgroup next friday. Look at their meetup page. I am an expecting mom so I have not been to any events yet, but I plan to go to the Birth Story circle next month!
